SPECIALTY SHOPS Cabela’s (801-766-2500; www.cabelas.com), 2502 West Grand Terr., Lehi. This is the outdoorsman’s 150,000-square-foot dream come true. These sportsman’s hobbies are represented not just with purchasable goods, but also with museum installations, a 55,000-gallon aquarium with a selection of Utah’s native fish, a 30-foot-tall wild game mock habitat, archery and shooting ranges, a gun library, and a restaurant where you can devour or sample a huge variety of wild game from around the world.

Lehi Roller Mills (801-768-4401; www.lehirollermill.com), 833 East Main St., Lehi. This is a specialty food shop that represents the local traditions and LDS history. What began in 1906 as a church farm and flour mill has flourished and grown into a greater food dispensary. This has been a community pillar, having served the valley in times of need, dispensing treats during happier times. Products are limited to baking kits and the like.

FARMERS’ MARKETS The Provo Downtown Business Alliance Farmers’ Market takes place 8–1 every Saturday (weather permitting) in the northwest corner of Pioneer Park, 500 West 100 South.

MALLS AND SQUARES The Provo Towne Centre (801-852-2401; www.shopprovotownecentre.com), 1200 Towne Centre Blvd., Provo. This is a haven of familiar national brand stores and has over 100, including Victoria’s Secret, Gap, and Dillards. This mall also has a 16-screen movie theater and a conventional food court.

The Shops at Riverwoods (801-802-8430; www.shopsatriverwoods.com), 4801 North University Ave., Provo. This outdoor mall boasts a bounty of high-end establishments, including theaters, restaurants, and stores—a few of which are even local. This center sometimes hosts live music and festivals.

University Mall (801-224-0694; www.shopuniversitymall.com), 575 East University Pkwy., Orem. This is another large Utah Valley mall with many of the country’s favorite big stores, including clothing and specialty shops, salons, and on-the-go eateries.

GALLERIES Coleman Studios (801-225-5766; www.colemanart.com), 117 North University Ave., Provo. This gallery features the work of around 20 artists with fairly conservative themes.

Downtown Provo Gallery Stroll occurs on the first Friday of each month. Each stroll is enhanced by some combination of live music and refreshments. The strolls last from 6 to 9 PM, are free of charge, and visit the galleries listed in this section.

Freedom Gallery (801-375-1150) 230 West Center St., Provo. This gallery has art of various themes, including modern sculpture and painting.

Gallery OneTen (801-623-0615), 110 South 300 West, Provo. Gallery OneTen features traveling shows relating to Utah’s history and people.

Terra Nova Gallery (801-374-0016; www.terranovagallery.com), 41 West 300 North, Provo. This fine-arts collection is fairly new, open since just 2003. This is a very active gallery with receptions, lectures, and regular participation in the downtown strolls. Many of the works focus on Utah landscape, and some on LDS heritage.
